About This Event
The Edinburgh Royal Mile International Piano Series returns to St Giles Cathedral on Monday 1 June 2026 at 6:30 pm with The Beethoven Sonatas, part of a complete cycle of Beethoven’s 32 Piano Sonatas across the 2025–26 season. The recital takes place at St Giles Cathedral, High Street, Edinburgh, EH1 1RE.
This performance features pianist Olga Stezhko, who has been described by Classical Source as “a supremely delicate master of her instrument” with “an extraordinary presence.” Her programme includes Beethoven’s Sonata in G minor No. 19, Op. 49 No. 1, along with works by Debussy, Chopin, Ravel, Rachmaninov and Scriabin.

The series is presented with candlelight and a newly installed Steinway grand piano. Olga Stezhko is an award-winning concert pianist and recording artist who has performed internationally at venues including Barbican Hall in London, Salle Cortot in Paris and Carnegie Hall in New York City.
