DUB REVOLUTION - DAVID KATZ, RAS P (ENTEBBE SOUND SYSTEM) & GENERAL ECHO takes place at Walthamstow Trades Hall in London on Friday, 9 October 2026, starting at 7:00pm. The evening is presented in connection with the publication of David Katz’s Dub Revolution: Jamaica’s Sonic Innovators and the Birth of Remix Culture and brings together a talk with soundsystem programming afterwards.
David Katz is due to be in conversation from 7:30pm. After that, the soundsystem continues with special guest RAS P of North London’s Entebbe Sound, alongside General Echo residents, until 1:00am close. The event traces dub’s evolution from its origins in Kingston in the early 1970s and reflects on its development through Jamaican, London, and wider international scenes.
