2025 is set to be a landmark year for Dub Princess and Hot Steppas. They have an exciting lineup of releases, starting with a brand new single dropping in May, accompanied by a heavyweight dub mix from the legendary Nick Manasseh. In June, look out for a genre-defying EP that weaves Indian classical influences into a deep dub foundation, featuring the talented Atilla Manju. October will bring another highly anticipated EP, exploring roots and future sounds, supported by a nationwide and European tour that celebrates their evolving musical journey.
Beyond her work with Hot Steppas, Dub Princess continues to carve her path as a prolific solo artist, collaborating with a diverse array of artists and releasing fresh tracks throughout the year. Expect soulful, sun-drenched vibes with producer Isaac Chambers, blending lush, downtempo grooves with reflective lyricism. She reunites with Illiterate for tracks that fuse jazzy beats, lo-fi textures, and laid-back fire, showcasing her vocal agility and conscious wordplay. A new project with Blue Zone Hifi taps into heavyweight dub and sound system culture, delivering raw energy and deep, sub-driven rhythms. Later in the year, a vibrant collaboration with Nikau Te Huki promises a fusion of Māori soul, roots reggae, and earthy electronic elements—highlighting their shared commitment to cultural storytelling and spiritual connection through music.
