Drifting Roots is an original reggae-rock band that originated in San Diego, California, in 2018. Founded by songwriter, producer, and frontman Matthew Mavericks, the band blends uplifting melodies with soulful rhythms and thoughtful lyrics. Their music embodies themes of positivity, resilience, and connection, all crafted in Mavericks' home studio in Florida, reflecting an independent spirit that resonates with fans globally.
Since 2020, Drifting Roots has toured extensively across the United States, sharing the stage with renowned artists such as Rebelution, Collie Buddz, Steel Pulse, Julian Marley, The Movement, Mike Love, and Authority Zero. They have achieved notable success with two Top 5 iTunes reggae albums, Life Is Good (2021) and Meant To Be (2022), followed by the 2024 EP Find A Way. Their high-energy live performances continue to captivate audiences from coast to coast.
