Drifting Roots is an original reggae band based in Central Florida. Founded in San Diego in 2018 by Matthew Mavericks, the project later continued from Florida, where Matt writes, records, and produces the music in his home studio in Satellite Beach. The touring lineup features Matt on guitar and lead vocals, Joey Zizzo on bass and vocals, and Jordenn Garcia on drums.
The band has shared the stage with Collie Buddz, Steel Pulse, Julian Marley, The Movement, Mike Love, and Authority Zero. Drifting Roots has two Top 5 iTunes charting albums, Life is Good (2021) and Meant to Be (2022), along with a five-song EP titled Find a Way (2024).
