About This Event
DJ Workshops at Pasadena Community Centre are inclusive DJ workshops for young people aged 13 to 24, held on Sundays at Pasadena Community Centre, 47 Adelaide Terrace, Pasadena, SA 5042. The workshops begin at 10:30am on Sunday, 3 May 2026, with sessions also running from 12:30pm to 2:00pm.
Participants learn and practise essential DJ skills, including introduction to DJing and equipment with safe operating procedures, vinyl basics, beatmatching and mixing fundamentals, building a DJ set, effects and sound manipulation, live streaming techniques, and digital DJing and performance skills. The sessions are designed to prepare participants for live performances both at the community centre and offsite.
The facilitator is DJ Aaronac, a South Australian DJ with experience working in the disability field and a qualification as a trainer. Registration is for the full term, with dates listed for Term 2, Term 3, and Term 4. All you need is an interest in music. Bookings are essential. The workshops cost $5 for the entire term and preference is given to people who live or study in the City of Mitcham.
