Desi Live | 80's + 90's Bhangra Live takes place on Saturday, 9 May 2026 at XOYO Birmingham, Lower Trinity Street, Deritend, Birmingham B9 4AG. The event runs from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm, with the show starting at 4:00 pm sharp and last entry at 5:00 pm.
The event features five performers from the 1980s and 1990s Bhangra and Panjabi music era, with three acts accompanied by a full live band. Scheduled performers include Heera, B21, Shaktee, Gubi Sandhu, and Azaad. A special guest Q&A is also scheduled from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm for ticket holders.
Heera will perform with a live band, along with songs including Dowain Jaaniya, Teri Akh De Ishare, Kaun Nachdi, Maar Chhadapa, and Jag Wala Mela. B21 is set to perform tracks such as Darshan, Chandigarh, Din Raat, Put Sardaran De, and Ranjha. Shaktee will appear with a live band and lead singer Dara, while Azaad will perform with original vocalists Parm, Kash, and Harbans.
Special guest Kuljit Bhamra MBE is scheduled for the Q&A, marking the launch of his new album Desi, which features Heera, Premi Johal, and others. The event is hosted by Harpz Kaur and also includes support from UNCENSORED DJs, PJD Chan, DJ Guvey, and Sunni Hype.
