About This Event
Darling, I'm Dying with Gutsy and Dog.Emo takes place at Up The Creek Records at 2042 Mount Diablo Boulevard in Walnut Creek, CA, on May 15, 2026 at 6:00 PM. The event is on sale and all ages are welcome.
Dog.Emo is an SF-based experimental hybrid solo act by Calvin Kind. The project blends indie emo sounds with modern party music and electronica. According to the description, Dog.Emo has worked with acts including bassvictim, gothboiclique, and sybyr, and has played dates from New York City to Los Angeles and Austin. Kind also runs Melodrama Records in San Francisco, a label focused on new forms of emotional music.
Gutsy is a Bay Area band whose sound draws from punk, jazz, blues, country, indie, and dance. The band is led by songwriter and composer Cormac Maher, who writes with a pop-focused approach and uses lyrics that are described as sometimes romantic, sometimes satirical, but always earnest and empathetic.
Darling I’m dying is a post-hardcore and emo band formed and fronted by Poyraz (PZ) Cagdas Ates, a Turkish American student at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and a multi-instrumentalist. Ates has written, recorded, and produced all of the band’s music, including Black Powder Hearts and The Human Condition. The songs are often dialogues between two characters played by Ates and Xandy Daskalakis, based on real situations he has experienced or witnessed.
