Concert d'orchestre - Võru Music School Symphony Orchestra à Tarascon takes place at Frigolet Abbey in Tarascon on Saturday, 4 July 2026 at 4:00 PM. Admission is free.
The program features works by Bizet, Elgar, Mozart, Tubin, Sumera, Talsi, Jõgi, Strauss, Holst, Sheldon, Saint-Saëns, Sibelius, Balmages and Anderson, including Les Toreadors, Nimrod, the overture from Le nozze di Figaro, Jupiter, Finlandia and the Radetzky March.
The Võru Music School Symphony Orchestra comes from Võru in southern Estonia. Founded in 2000 by Mirja and Jaan Randvere, the ensemble began as a string orchestra and later expanded with wind instruments. It is now a symphonette of 45 musicians made up of students, former students and teachers from the music school. The orchestra is conducted by Jaan Randvere and has performed in Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Hungary, Italy, Bulgaria, Lithuania, France and Austria. The concert is presented within the Festival Provençal des orchestres de jeunes.
