About This Event
Colchester Blues and Rock in the Garden 2026 takes place on Saturday 4 July 2026 at Maitlands, Distillery Lane, Colchester, CO2 8EZ. The event starts at 2:00 pm and runs until 11:30 pm.
The programme includes live music, art, workshops, poets, and creative activities during the earlier part of the afternoon, followed by a line-up of blues, rock, soul, pop, jazz, flamenco, Balkan gypsy, ska, dub, sea shanties, and musicians from Malawi. The scheduled acts include Weird Creatures, Brewkulele, Armoured Man, Annemarie Quinn & John Fire, Tahir Burhan, Fox, Wiggle and Sass, Band of Fools, The Gulls, and Funktion Junction. Performance times are approximate and may change.
Food and drink offerings include BBQ, vegetarian and vegan food, cake and desserts, and a fully licensed bar. The event has a limited capacity of 500. Ticket prices are listed as £20 for adults over 16, £10 for students with student ID, £1 for under-16s when accompanied by an adult, and free entry for under-5s. Wristbands are collected at the gate.
All money raised supports charity, including Building Malawi and the Rotary Centurion Club.
