Chux is the London-born turntablist Charles Joseph. He is a self-educated music enthusiast with experience across multiple genres and eras, and he co-founded London Collective The Pipe Dreamers. He first gained recognition for The Pipe Dreamers’ ILLICIT nights at London’s Ace Hotel.
His background includes performances in intimate venues and larger stadium settings, as well as touring with artists including OthaSoul and Barney Artist. He has also supported DJ Jazzy Jeff and Little Simz, served as Barney Artist’s official DJ since 2018, and played festivals such as Glastonbury and Fresh Island Festival in Croatia.
Since 2021, Chux has been immersed in South Africa’s Amapiano music and has become a go-to DJ for the genre in the UK. His career also includes international performances in South Korea, Taiwan, and across Europe, along with work for UEFA, Arsenal’s Champions League games, and brands including Nike, NFL, and Facebook.
