About This Event
Chopin and Champagne by Candlelight takes place at Manchester Cathedral on Victoria Street in Manchester on Friday, 12 June 2026 at 6:00 pm. The recital features British pianist Warren Mailley-Smith performing a programme of Chopin solo piano works in the cathedral’s candlelit setting.
The programme includes Ballade No. 1 in G minor, Op. 23, Berceuse in D-flat major, Op. 57, Prelude in D-flat major, Op. 28 No. 15 “Raindrop”, Nocturne in B-flat minor, Op. 9 No. 1, Scherzo No. 2 in B-flat minor, Op. 31, Polonaise in A major, Op. 40 No. 1 “Military”, Waltz in E minor, Op. posth., and Waltz in E-flat major, Op. 18.
A complimentary champagne reception is scheduled from 5:40 pm ahead of the performance.
