Charlie Maples is a genre-blending ensemble formed from a creative gathering in East Tennessee in the fall of 2020. The group is fronted by Erin Dalton, who serves as singer, arranger, and songwriter. Her arranging work includes collaborations with Amythyst Kiah and Bill & The Belles.
The lineup also includes drummer Andrew Gibbens, electric pianist and vocalist Isaac Ratliff, bassist and multi-instrumentalist Taylor Green, and a rotating collective of seasoned collaborators. Their performances draw from jazz, classical, folk, hip-hop, R&B, old-time, rock, and ambient music, with influences that include classic jazz catalogs and rhythm and blues. Tickets are $20 plus fees.
