Cat Rose is a Plymouth-based folk-indie singer-songwriter whose work has been supported by The Barbican Theatre’s Rebels Music programme and Youth Music funding. She was awarded 2nd place in the South West Heat singer-songwriter competition in 2022 and was featured on Sofar Sounds in 2024.
Her debut EP, WasteLand, was released in 2025 and includes themes of isolation, resilience, imagination, mental health, neurodiversity, and working-class identity. All tracks from the EP were featured on BBC Introducing, where host Tom Williams described Cat as “a brilliantly talented songwriter with an interesting insight and a very funny creative personality — it comes across in her music.”
Cat Rose has also played two sold-out shows at the B Bar, The Barbican Theatre Plymouth, and completed her WasteLand UK solo tour, with stops including Exeter, Bristol, London, Brighton, Liverpool, Darlington, and Newcastle. Her song “Seagulls” has reached almost 50,000 streams worldwide, and WasteLand has reached over 16,000 streams.
