BOOGIE BEASTS ✩ 100 Years R.L. Burnside ✩ Clubshow Missy Sippy takes place on Monday 19 October 2026 at 20:30 at Missy Sippy, Klein Turkije 16 in Gent. The club show marks 15 years of Boogie Beasts and 100 years since the birth of blues musician R.L. Burnside, one of the band’s stated inspirations.
Boogie Beasts will perform material from their album Don’t Be So Mean!, alongside other North Mississippi Hill Country Blues classics. The album includes contributions from Duwayne Burnside, who sings on two tracks; Kenny Brown, who appears on two tracks; and Luther Dickinson, who adds slide guitar. G. Love, Pablo van de Poel of DeWolff, and Cedric Maes of The Sore Losers also contribute to the record.
Boogie Beasts consists of Jan Jaspers, Patrick Louis, Fabian Bennardo and Gert Servaes. Since their first performance in 2011, the group has played clubs and festivals across Europe and supported The Fabulous Thunderbirds, The Sonics and Andre Williams. Their album Love Me Some was voted the fourth-best album of 2021 by Classic 21 listeners.
