Bird Service are a Norwich 6-piece formed out of the UK Samba scene. Their music blends indie, rock, funk and reggae with rhythms from Brazil, with rhythmically complex songs, hooky melodies and funk brass riffs.
The set includes preview material from their upcoming album The King of Rust, due out in the summer, along with songs from their first album, ...More or Less, and Marcus’ back catalogue of Brazilian covers. The band line-up is Marcus Patteson on voice and guitar, Jake Hishon on drums, Bill Skipp on lead guitar, Vilem Hais on bass guitar, David Osborne on trumpet and David Ingham on tenor sax.
