Ben Vince is a composer and performer known for live improvised saxophone work, using sonic manipulation, reprocessing and looping to create new rhythms, textures and moods. He has performed with EP/64, Charles Hayward, Coby Sey, Valentina Magaletti and Housewives, and has also collaborated in the studio with artists including Joy Orbison and Mica Levi.
The Exu are a trio making improvised music shaped by free jazz, grunge, death metal, hip hop, bebop and experimental music. The group features Dave Kane and James Mainwaring on compositional duties, with Emil Karlsen on drums. Mainwaring is part of Mercury Prize-nominated Roller Trio.
