About This Event
Belfast Music Walking Tour begins at Ulster Hall on Bedford Street in Belfast, with the walk starting from this historic venue in Antrim, GB. The tour takes place on 18 April 2026 at 1:00 PM and is organized by Creative Tours Belfast.
This two-and-a-half-hour walking tour explores Belfast’s musical heritage and its UNESCO City of Music designation. With guide Dolores, the route passes through the city’s oldest cobbled streets, open squares, and shopping areas while stopping at a range of music-related places, including traditional bars and clubs, historic buildings, open-air performance spaces, the city’s newest performance space, main arena venues, and a church.
Along the way, different music genres are discussed at each stop, and the tour includes stories about well-known musicians and bands from Belfast, along with recommendations for rising contemporary artists. Guests also hear about the city’s history and may gain access to one or two places not normally open to visitors.
The tour ends at the Oh Yeah Music Centre in the Cathedral Quarter, where visitors can browse the Music Exhibition featuring memorabilia from Northern Ireland musicians including Snow Patrol, Van Morrison, and Stiff Little Fingers.
