About This Event
Bass Night takes place on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at 9:00 PM at Giardino di Palazzo Stauffer, Via San Martino 6, 26100 Cremona. The evening is dedicated entirely to the double bass, an instrument presented here in its many roles: as the foundation of an ensemble and as a voice capable of timbral, virtuosic, and expressive विस्तार.
Students from the double bass class will guide the performance, with Stauffer Bass Ensemble featured on a program of works for double bass by various composers. The repertoire is built around ensembles of double basses, with the instrument moving beyond its usual harmonic support to take on rhythm, melody, energy, and contrasting sound colors.
