Back to the 90s Boat Ride – Essence Fest Weekend 2026 in NOLA takes place aboard the Paddlewheeler Creole Queen at 1 Poydras Street in New Orleans, Louisiana, on Friday, July 3, 2026. Boarding begins at 1:00 PM, departure is at 2:00 PM sharp, and the cruise returns at 4:00 PM.
This boat ride includes live DJs throughout the cruise with music spanning 90s hip hop, R&B, reggae, dancehall, freestyle, and house party anthems. The event also has three floors for guests to move around, plus food available for sale onboard.
90s throwback attire is encouraged, and the event is 21+.
