Baby Keem’s debut studio album, The Melodic Blue, was released in September 2021 and debuted at No. 5 on the Billboard 200. The album included fourteen tracks with production by Keem himself and was led by the 5x platinum single “family ties” featuring Kendrick Lamar, which earned him his first GRAMMY win for Best Rap Performance at the 64th GRAMMY Awards.
He later released The Melodic Blue Deluxe in 2022, adding seven new songs with features from Lil Uzi Vert, Don Toliver, and PinkPanthress. In 2023, he released The Melodic Blue visual on Prime Video with three additional unreleased tracks. In 2024, Keem and Kendrick Lamar reunited for “The Hillbillies,” which earned a nomination for Best Rap Performance at the 67th Annual GRAMMY Awards.
