Alborosie arrives at CHALK in Brighton and Hove on Friday, 4 December 2026 at 6:30 PM as part of the Nine Mile UK Tour. The reggae and dancehall artist is billed as an international reggae performer with a career that includes more than 1,000 live performances worldwide.
Born Alberto D’Ascola in Sicily, Alborosie moved to Jamaica over 20 years ago and has been active in reggae since 1993. His work spans roots reggae, rub-a-dub, raggamuffin, dancehall, and dub. His catalogue includes Soul Pirate, with songs such as “Kingston Town” and “Herbalist,” as well as Destiny (2023) and Dub Pirate (2024).
He has collaborated with Ky-Mani Marley, Joe Mersa Marley, Collie Buddz, Roots Radics, The Wailers United, and King Jammy, and has produced for The Wailing Souls. On stage, he performs with The Shengen Clan. Recent releases include Destiny, which features Kabaka Pyramid, Buju Banton, Jaz Elise, and Burro Banton.
