About This Event
Al'Fado Concert: Fado & Sefardi Music takes place on Friday, September 25 at 9:00 PM at O Grilo Beato, 36 Rua do Grilo, 1950-145 Lisboa. Ensemble Al'Fado presents Encounters of Ladino & Fado, a program based on the traditional songbooks of Fado and Ladino.
The ensemble’s work draws on musical traditions connected to the Iberian Peninsula, including Sephardic Jewish communities of medieval times and their Ladino language. The interpretation also references local genres including Fado and Flamenco, alongside Mediterranean, African, and Brazilian influences.
