AFROWAVES: NIGERIA INDEPENDENCE | Afrobeats After Party Yacht Cruise takes place on Saturday, September 26, 2026 at Pier 78 at Hudson River Park, 455 12th Avenue, New York, NY 10018. The event is scheduled for 10:00 PM boarding, with departure at 10:30 PM, return at 1:30 AM, and an end time of 2:00 AM.
This yacht cruise marks 66 years of Nigerian independence and features Afrobeats, Amapiano, Soca, Hip Hop, R&B, Reggae, Latin music, Pop, Top 40, and Oldies across three levels of music. The cruise includes an open-air deck, climate-controlled cabins, two indoor dance floors, and indoor sitting areas. Live DJs and special guests are part of the lineup.
The cruise experience includes a 3-hour NYC harbor trip with views of the Manhattan skyline, including the Statue of Liberty, Brooklyn Bridge, Ellis Island, and the Freedom Tower.
