Led by Nigerian percussionist and songwriter Onye Onyemaechi, Onye & The Messengers are a Northern California Afrobeat and Global Grooves dance band. Their music blends traditional West African rhythms with funk, jazz, and contemporary global sounds, with percussion, horns, vocals, and rhythm section instrumentation.
DJ Bankshot will play disco, boogie, house, and rare grooves.
