About This Event
A Farming Folk Song Walk - West Bexington takes place at Tamarisk Farm on Beach Road in West Bexington, England, on Saturday, 9 May 2026 at 2:00 PM. The 5 km walk is led by local folk singer Alastair Braidwood and visits a working organic farm.
During the walk, participants will hear traditional folk songs from Dorset and further afield while learning about modern farming and songs from years before. Refreshments are provided by the Farm at the end, and the Farm Shop will be open.
Walks meet at the Tamarisk Farm shop in West Bexington, DT2 9DF. Dogs are welcome on many of the walks but must be kept on a lead and under control. Under-16s must be accompanied by an adult. Participants should arrive at least 10 minutes before the start time and wear appropriate footwear, clothing, and equipment.
Refunds are available up to 7 days before booked walks, and any cancellations are subject to Eventbrite fees. The walk leader is in complete charge of the walk, and routes or distances may be changed if needed. Walks are only cancelled if conditions could put participants in danger.
