Willy Porter is a largely self-taught musician who began performing in the late 1980s while living in Madison, Wisconsin. Known for his guitar playing and wry storytelling, he released his first full-length independent album, The Trees Have Soul, in 1990 and has toured steadily ever since.
Thirty years after his solo recording debut, Porter continues to develop his work as a songwriter and guitarist. His 13th full-length album, The Ravine, was released in September 2023.
