Journey to Healing - JoDavi comes to Heliconian Hall in Toronto on Friday, May 29, 2026 at 2:00 PM. The performance features Joshua Washington, known as JoDavi, in an hour of music and storytelling.
JoDavi describes his sound as “symphonic soul,” and his music draws on gospel, R&B, reggae, and funk. His work has included the full-length album Zion and the EP the Vault. He has also opened for Grammy-winning artists India Arie and Anthony Hamilton, and has composed for film while arranging for the Boston Pops and the Augusta Symphony Orchestra.
Joshua Washington is the Executive Director of the Institute for Black Solidarity with Israel (IBSI). This performance is dedicated to the memory of his late wife, Olga, who died in January 2025.
