FRIDAY FREESTYLE! RAP & HIP HOP CYPHER takes place on Friday, May 22, 2026 from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM at 847 Fort St in Victoria, BC. This all-ages event is a donation-based community jam hosted at Archer's Community Hub.
Attendees can hop on the mic for a rap and hip hop cypher, with space for rappers, singers, instrumentalists, and other participants. The jam includes an upright piano, didgeridoo, cajon, and other percussion instruments, and guests who want to play guitar are welcome to bring one. If an amp is needed, it must be brought along.
The event runs as a cypher from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM, with DJ Mango on the decks during that time. From 8:30 PM to 10:00 PM, the night continues with open decks, and guests can bring a USB to mix. Hip hop is the main focus, though other genres suitable for the cypher are welcome.
The venue is wheelchair accessible, though it does not yet have a wheelchair accessible restroom. Alcohol is not sold on the premises.
