At age 14, I began acting in short films, traveling from South Carolina to New York, California, Atlanta, and Washington D.C. At 15, I recorded my first single, Coming Up, produced by an independent label and distributed through Universal Records. Even as my music career began, I stayed committed to my education, participating in sports and continually working to perfect my craft. I promised both myself and my mother that I would strive for excellence in everything I pursued. My journey has not been without challenges. When my mother fell ill, our family experienced financial and housing hardships. These struggles only motivated me to work harder and to stay focused on my goals. Attending Georgia Southern University represents an important step toward those goals. I am pursuing a degree in psychology to better understand the human mind, not only for my own personal growth but to help others—especially young people—who are struggling.
