I came up in 210 Tx where there wasn't much of a scene. That's why I moved to Houston in late 2018... the DIY underground there gave me a place to actually perform, to push the sound I was hearing in my head. I grew up listening to Gucci Mane, Waka Flocka Flame, and all these artists with real aggression. But I wanted something heavier, something that felt more primal than regular rap. I landed on screaming. Trap metal, scream rap, whatever you want to call it. It wasn't calculated—I just didn't have a proper microphone setup early on, and when I finally got into a studio that could handle what I was trying to do, I realized that was my voice. The aggression, the energy, the raw panic of it. By 2019, a few of us were doing this simultaneously. I don't know who invented it, but I know I was there from the jump, while the underground was still figuring out what we were doing. Horror has always been a huge part of my aesthetic. The old 70s and 80s slashers, the darkness, the specific kind of primal fear they capture.
