I make music about the things that are difficult to say plainly. My work moves through alternative pop, dark pop, rock, electronic music, experimental sound, and whatever else happens when I stop worrying about staying inside one genre. I’m interested in emotion that doesn’t behave neatly, stories that leave bruises, strange ideas that won’t leave me alone, and the little pieces of being human that usually get edited out. I like imperfections. The crack in a vocal. A breath left in. A word that comes out slightly wrong. Timing that leans too far one way. Silence that stays a little longer than it should. A sound that probably wasn’t supposed to be there but somehow makes the whole thing more alive. Sometimes that means writing about trauma, anger, grief, betrayal, identity, or survival. Sometimes it means making something dark and beautiful for no reason other than I wanted to hear it. Sometimes the idea starts with a single sentence, a strange sound, or something I notice that nobody else seems to be paying attention to. At the center of everything I make is the same question: What happens when you stop trying to make something perfect and let it become alive instead? That’s where I like to work.
