DeBBiE MARS, born Aphiwe Mcitwa, is a South African R&B singer-songwriter from the Eastern Cape Province. Born on November 28, 1991, in Cape Town, DeBBiE MARS began writing songs at the age of 15, initially exploring gospel music before transitioning to R&B and Pop. In 2010, he wrote and performed his song "I Miss Someone I Don't Know" at the Queenstown Town Hall, marking a pivotal moment in his career. After relocating to Polokwane, he recorded songs at a professional studio, though they remained unreleased. In 2017, DeBBiE MARS joined Odd Ones Out Records, releasing his debut EP "Pretty Girls" in 2018. He later collaborated with producer Anthony Keys of Serious Sounds Studios, resulting in the six-track EP "Sorry Not Sorry," released in 2024.
